Avg. time needed: approx. 5 hours (assuming a speed of 10 km/h horizontal and a vertical gain of 600 m/h).
Timelimits: V1 (Abzg. St Jakob) 236Hm, 9,8Km = 2 h, V2 (Festhalle St. Johann) 362Hm, 18,67Km = 3 h, V3 (Speikboden Bergstation) 1425Hm, 30,34Km = 6 h (7 km/hour horizontal, 500 Hm/hour vertikal).

Preview Stage 5:
Runners will face more vertical descent than vertical gain on tomorrow’s fifth stage. Still, the day can hardly be called a walk in the park. A tough climb up to the ski resort Speikboden (1,984 meters asl) awaits the racers at the very end of the stage and sets them up for a final punishing plunge into our destination Sand in Taufers (870 meters asl). The stage adds up to 36,82 kilometers in distance, a cumulative vertical gain of 1447 meters and a total drop of 2,048 meters – ouch!
